Celebrated Hari Raya Haj and my cousin’s wedding over the last weekend and it was really great to meet up with the cousins and relatives and we even slept over just for the occasion!
I wasn’t the official photographer for my cousin’s wedding but just brought my camera along for this memorable occasion. Felt different to be a guest once again after always looking thru the viewfinder during wedding assignments.
I had to refrain myself countless of times from taking too many photographs and to just celebrate and enjoy my cousin’s wedding.
It’s becoming a common sight in events like weddings where people will be carrying their DSLRs around and snapping pictures. It really shows how people are starting to like photography but on the negative side, it’s becoming ‘TOO COMMON’ that we can’t even tell or differentiate between the wedding photographer and the relatives.
7 similar angles, 7 different cameras, 200 blocked views …
… of the bride signing the certificate of marriage.
And I quote from a local top photograper, “Honestly, I have no idea why this is happening. Why can’t people let ONE person do the job? I hope people learn from this. More doesn’t mean better and I’m sure this is not what the couple want.”
Sometimes, you should just celebrate and enjoy the wedding.
